Distance: 13.2 Miles from North Port
If you're local and want a quick drive to a sliver of sand, Port Charlotte Beach Park may be ok. In our opinion, It's not a beach destination.
The Water was ice tea color which we're told is from Mangrove Trees coupled with ocean and fresh water canals merging. Many people choose not to go in.
There is a pool, a pier, and a boat launch in the park.

Blind Pass Beach - Easy parking. Usually not crowded. Worth the drive.
Nice ride to the beach.
Dolphins sightings are common at this beach.

Free Parking. Concession for food.

Many areas lost electricity. Areas near the river and some canals had flooding issues. Where this video was taken, the Hurricane was
never worse than a hard storm.
