Coquina Beach, at the southern end of Bradenton Beach, is a full-amenity family beach — concessions, lifeguards, pavilions, and ample free parking, with good shelling and sand dollars along the shore. Cortez Beach, in the northern section of the same city, is the more undeveloped counterpart, with numerous smaller access points and a quieter feel. Together they make up one of the widest, least crowded beach stretches on Anna Maria Island.
